Farm Girl

Ilia is a caring, devoted, and passionate young woman. One of her most meaningful characteristics, and perhaps the most important, is her motherly nature. All her love and concern is reflected onto her childhood friend Link, Epona, the children of Ordon Village, and those she helped through the events of the story. Ilia is always placing others needs above her own, even when faced with amnesia she fears for the lives of Ralis, Impaz, and Link, and it is said that she went to the sanctuary every day to pray for those in need.
Though Midna takes president in the story it is Ilia's capture which sets the events of the game in motion, leading Link to give chase where he was cast into twilight and able to meet with Midna and Princess Zelda. If not for Ilia, Link would not have been able to meet with Impaz, help Shad, or reach the final temple to claim the final mirror shard and confront Zant. In all honesty, Ilia is truly an indispensable part of
Twilight Princess.

In addition, Ilia is not without her own accomplishments. She's a very courageous, selfless, and spirited young lady. She cares for the elderly Impaz who helped her escape from the shadow beasts and offers hope that Link will surely come for them. Furthermore, while
suffering from amnesia (that she probably sustained in the Hidden Village rock slide) no less, she rescues Prince Ralis and spends her every waking moment worrying and tending to the Zora child. Ilia is a heroine in her own right and by the end of the story you could see she'd matured and changed from her experiences.
